February 21st - Announcements

For those of you interested in the History/Art Appreciation collab, please write in Art Appreciation as your elective, AND you need to sign up for the History 12 course as well.

The following students need to see Mrs. Des Roches in the counselling centre during lunch - Manjot Gill, Jasleen Kaur, Harnake Kapoor & Tafouf Makki.

Very important message for all students regarding course planning: course selection starts on Tuesday, February 25. You must have access to your MyEd account in order to selection your courses for the next school year. Please make sure you have access to your MyEd account before course selection. Please see Mrs. Des Roches in counselling for help logging in.  

Wednesday Feb. 26th is Pink Shirt Day and Leadership will be selling pink cotton candy for $1 in the East Lobby at lunch. All proceeds go to CKNW Kid's Fund to help support anti-bullying programs. So, wear your pink shirt and remember to take a stand against bullying.

Attention all grade 9, 10 , and 11 Mathletes! Your first math competition is this Tuesday, Feb. 25th  in Mrs. Gordon's room. Please see her for more information.

There will be a girls’ soccer meeting at lunch time today in Mr. Gordon’s room, E 109. Bring a friend and see you there, Friday. 

Grade 12's - grad clothing is now available to purchase at School Cash Online; you have until Feb. 23rd to place your order. This will be the last time grad clothing will be available this year.

Are you ready for a challenge? Rick Hansen is hosting its first 10-minute escape room starting this week.  To be in this activity, come sign up with a group of 2-4 people at lunch in the east lobby near the snack shack.  You only have until today to sign up.  So, be quick if you want to get a spot!  Price is $3 per person and all proceeds go straight to The Canadian Centre to End Human Trafficking.

Grade 12s! Planning to go to UFV in the fall? Make sure to apply for an entrance scholarship. Visit UFV’s website for information on how to apply. Applications are due March 1st!

Applications for the Abbotsford Community Foundation Scholarships are due Feb. 24th to Mrs. McAleese. Please see Mrs. McAleese for more information.

February 20th - Announcements

Very Important message for those going on the fan bus today.  At the end of third block, you must meet in the East Foyer outside the gym immediately.  Posted on the glass doors will be the bus lists which tell you which bus to get on.  You must get on the right bus both to and from the game.  You cannot switch buses for any reason.  Looking forward to cheering our boys on to victory.  GO HURRICANES!!!

Congratulations to all the wrestlers who competed at the Provincial Championships this past weekend in Langley.  All the Hurricanes wrestled well and had several hard-fought matches.  Congratulations to Humraj Sandhar who placed first in his weight class and is a PROVINCIAL CHAMPION!  Well done Humraj!
